Many well known tune books are hard to read because the music is written so small. Other fiddle tune collections show only notes without bowing markings, or show bowing notations that either don't work or do not sound good . Fiddlers know that notes are only half of the fiddling sound. Unless you are a very experienced player, you may not know how to make the bowing sound good.
